This is my war face.
Hi! My names Heath Pfaff and I’m the writer and creator of several fantasy worlds. You’ve probably gotten that figured out already if you’re here. So what else is there to know about me?
I live in Nunda, a small town in rural western New York, far form the bustle of city life. I have cats. Too many cats.
This is SOME of the cats.
I play a few instruments, love video games, reading and writing. I’m Married to a beautiful woman named Jennifer. I have a terrible internet connection, the price of living in the country. Brownies are my favorite food. I spend my days working with my best friend, Hannah.
Between moments of writing I like to tinker with electronics and computers. Occasionally I enjoy working on crafts, sewing or other things that I’m very bad at.
That, my friends, is my life! Try not to be overwhelmed with excitement.

I just went through a back to back marathon of two trilogies you have posted on the Kindle app. You are great, I’m surprised either series hasn’t gotten more press!
The medic in me cringed a little when your Xandrith character started stuffing his abdomen with cloth though XD You’re already pretty dedicated to bringing a level of realism, but I feel like doing a little research would go well in a book that incorporates so many war injuries.
Anyway just wanted to let you know your work is appreciated, I’m already planning to convert more.

Incredibly sorry I didn’t catch this message earlier! Thanks so much for the kind comment, and I apologize for the shoddy medical knowledge! XD I get a lot of spam comments (about 20 for every 1 that is real) so I almost stopped reading these. If you want to get my attention a little easier, check out the facebook fanpage! I love enthusiastic fans. As a struggling indie writer, you guys keep me going.
I strive to reply in person as often as I can.
Hi Heath,
I’ve read and enjoyed your book. As it seems they’re self-published and not a small press I wonder whether you’ve ever heard about SPFBO? It’s a contest for self-published fantasy books and submissions are open right now.
As a fan (and only a fan – I’m not a writer or a judge) of the indie scene and this particular contest, I’d love to see more quality submissions that will help convince readers that self-publishing scene has plenty to offer.
That’s why I’ve decided to write to you with the proposition of checking SPFBO and considering submitting your book. The contest is 100% free, and I have no interest in promoting it. I do it as a fan.
So, anyway, if your books are self-published feel free to submit here (300 places fill really fast): http://mark—lawrence.blogspot.com/2019/06/spfbo-5-phase-1.html
All the best,
Marco
Sorry I didn’t catch this sooner! I would have loved to enter. I’m supposed to get email notifications when I get comments here but clearly that isn’t working for me. Running all of your own stuff can be daunting.
